3D photos can make ID cards more secure and distinctive, including government secure ID such as drivers licenses and passports, employee ID cards, 3D debit/credit cards, 3D membership cards, and even 3D business cards. This has never been possible before. 

When a 3D ID card is tilted, the person is seen turning smoothly from one side to the other. Special cameras or multiple viewpoints are not required. It is fast and affordable.

We are the only company that can provide (1) rapid conversion of an ordinary portrait photo to a photorealistic 3D model for (2) making a single lenticular print.  Traditionally, the set-up costs have meant that lenticular printing is only cost effective with mass-production of thousands of copies.

It may also be worth pointing out that most lenticular photos are printed using flat layers. Our unique approach uses a true 3D model, so foreground objects do not look flat. 

Security: Holograms are placed on credit cards and currency because they cannot be photocopied. A photocopy does not move when you tilt it back and forth;  the original metallic hologram does. Our 3D face rotations are like photorealistic holograms, unique to each individual.  Current holography methods do not allow single photos to be printed cost effectively, but lenticular printing does.  Like metallic holograms, a lenticular portrait photo cannot be photocopied to counterfeit or alter.  There is no animation in the photocopy. This therefore provides excellent security on ID documents.  With enough determination, it may be possible to delaminate a3D ID card.  But that is simply going to destroy the card. 

Our ability to convert your photo to a 3D model for lenticular printing also offers a security advantage that is not currently possible with metallic holograms.  Metallic holograms like the dove on credit cards can be easily obtained from companies like this one.  If counterfeiters can just go out and buy replacement holograms because they are all the same, that defeats the security.  Our 2D-3D Photo (tm) software creates a 3D model that is different for each person.  It is immediately apparent if the lenticular print (1) looks like the person and (2) has movement in it, providing easy counterfeit prevention.
